Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most common and best-known type of massage.  A Swedish massage can be slow and gentle or vigorous and bracing, depending on each persons needs.  In Swedish massage, the body is lubricated with grape seed oil and various massage strokes are performed. These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle 'knots'.

Hot Stones Massage

Stone stone massage melts away tension and eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and the metabolism.  The direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing access to deeper muscle layers.

The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage uses pre-blended aromatherapy oils.  The focus of aromatherapy is to generate a spiritual, mental, emotional and physical sense of wellness through massage and inhaling essential oils.  These essential oils come from selected plants in order to provide specific sedative, stimulating and refreshing therapeutic qualities. Each essential oil has different healing properties.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is customised to an expectant mothers needs but is most often used to promote relaxation.  Since many pregnant women suffer from lower back pain and swollen ankles pregnancy massage is a relatively safe way to provide relief.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It breaks up scar tissue and physically breaks down muscle "knots" or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation.

Deep tissue massage is good for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is based on the ancient Ayurvedic form of healing and dates back almost 4,000 years. An Indian head massage covers upper back, shoulders, neck, arms, face and scalp.

Indian head massage provides relief from aches and pains, promotes a healthy scalp and hair and helps induce relaxation and a feeling of well-being.

Facial

A facial is essentially a multi-step skin treatment.  A facial cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion and can help your skin look younger.  A facial works best when it is part of an on-going program of skin care.
